boom bapDJ Premier produces almost the entire thing, which means every track has that chopped, scratched, compressed Brooklyn feel — but what makes this strange and compelling is that Lil Dap and Melachi's delivery is deliberately unpolished, almost awkward, which gives the whole record a raw, documentary texture. 'Supa Star' and 'Up Against the Wall' hit harder because they don't sound like they're performing toughness. Dropped right in Premo's golden run and still feels like the overlooked sibling on that shelf.
