Belgian jazz-funk that never crossed the water and still hasn't, mostly because the label barely pushed it past Brussels. The rhythm section does the heavy lifting — tight, springy, built for a break. Marc Moulin's keys keep darting in and out instead of sitting on top, which is what makes it move instead of just groove. Dig past the obvious sample cuts and there's a real record here, not just breakbeat fodder.
