West Coast Hip HopCold 187um and KMG came out the gate with something harder and more focused than most West Coast rap in 1990. The Ruthless Records production has that low-riding bass and drum machine knock that defined the region before G-funk smoothed everything out. 'Murder Rap' hits early and sets the tone for the whole record. Raw and direct without a lot of wasted space.
