Carlos Niño and friends built something genuinely communal here — live instruments, group vocals, open arrangements that feel more like a gathering than a recording session. The spiritual jazz influence is real but it never gets heavy-handed; the whole record breathes easy. Flute, percussion, keys, and voices all share space without crowding each other. One of the more honest records to come out of the early 2000s L.A. scene.
