Brazilian Jazz / Latin GrooveRomão was the percussionist for Weather Report, and this solo record puts rhythm at the center of everything. The percussion layers are complex but never cluttered, and the jazz and Brazilian elements move together naturally rather than being stitched in from separate directions. There's a lot of live energy in the recording — you can feel the players responding to each other. The title track alone is worth the price of entry.
