Boxcar Sessions

Saafir's debut is dense and unconventional — the rhymes are tangled and abstract in a way that rewards repeated listens. The production is stripped-down West Coast funk with a leaner, more experimental edge than most of what was coming out of the Bay in '94. His delivery is off-kilter but locked in, like he's running his own internal time signature. This one takes a few plays before it opens up.
