The Boss Is Back!
Gene Ammons
Jazz-FunkAmmons coming off a prison stint and blowing like he's got something to prove — the tenor tone alone tells you this isn't a comeback record phoning it in. "Jungle Strut" is the cut that gets sampled and for good reason, that bassline never lets up. Skip nothing here, honestly, it's front to back a workout.
