Mudei de Ideia
Antônio Carlos e Jocafi
MPBBahian funk-soul with samba-reggae drums under it years before that term existed as a genre tag. Kabaluerê is the one that gets sampled and reissued over and over, and once you hear the groove you'll understand why. Mudei De Idéia itself is softer, more romantic, the ballad breather the record needs. Nord West is the oddball — spacier, more atmospheric than anything around it.
