Reggae / Dub JazzRanglin was already a legend before this came out — studio architect behind a long stretch of Jamaican music history — and this album catches him at a relaxed peak. The guitar tone is lush and unhurried, pulling from reggae rhythms and jazz phrasing in equal measure. Chris Blackwell produced it and kept everything airy and uncluttered. Long record, but it earns the runtime.
