Lapalux builds beats that feel processed and bruised at the same time — pitched-down vocals, smeared textures, drums that arrive slightly off where you expect them. The production has a lot of emotional weight without ever spelling it out. This was his Brainfeeder debut and it showed a pretty clear point of view from the start. Good headphone record.
