Soundpieces: Da Antidote

Madlib built something genuinely strange here, and it sounds like nothing else from 1999. The drums are choppy and off-kilter in a way that should feel uncomfortable but actually grooves hard once you settle into it. Wildchild's delivery is fast and loose and totally in sync with the production's skewed logic. It aged better than most records from that era precisely because it never sounded like that era to begin with.
