Mittoo was one of the architects of the Studio One sound and this record shows why he was trusted to shape so much of that catalog. The organ lines are fluid and confident, sitting comfortably over rhythms that are loose but never sloppy. There's a relaxed, unhurried quality to the playing that takes a few listens to fully appreciate. A straightforward reggae and rocksteady set that holds up because the musicianship is just that solid.
