Soul Sauce

The title track is the whole reason this record gets talked about — that Willie Bobo conga pattern under Tjader's vibes is one of the great Latin jazz grooves, full stop, and it's been sampled to death for good reason. The rest is solid but lighter, more cocktail-hour than heat. Still, side one alone earns this a spot on any real crate-digger's shelf.
