Cymande never got their due in the UK at the time, too odd for soul radio, too funky for rock crowds, and this second record leans even further into that in-between space — Nyabinghi drums, wah guitar, horns that sound almost dubby. "Bra" is the standout, a slow-burn groove that just keeps adding layers. Worth it for the bass alone.
