Nublu Sessions

The live session format keeps this from feeling too produced — there's looseness in the percussion and the horns, and that looseness is the point. Kate Havnevik and a few other vocalists move in and out without the album losing its groove or its thread. The bass sits full and present without dominating, which gives the keys and brushed drums room to do their thing. It's a relaxed record with enough going on to stay interesting.
