4hero stepped well outside drum and bass conventions on this one, pulling in live instrumentation, jazz harmony, and a song structure that lets ideas develop slowly. The rhythm programming is still tight and complex, but there's air in the arrangements that their earlier work didn't have. Strings and keys show up where you might expect a drop, and it usually works better for it. An ambitious record that mostly lands what it's aiming for.
