IG Culture pulls from jazz, soul, and dub without letting any one of them dominate — the whole record floats between moods without losing its groove. The drum programming is deliberate and spacious, leaving plenty of room for the keys and vocals to settle in. This was part of the same London broken beat scene as Dego and 4Hero but it has its own texture. It rewards attention.
