Face Off

Aggressive, dense, and moving at its own pace — this is Southern rap before the region's mainstream sound had fully calcified into something predictable. The production leans dark, lots of minor-key synths and hard-hitting drum programming. Pastor Troy's delivery is raw and relentless, barely pausing for breath across the whole record. It found a serious following in the South and still sounds like it means business.
