Valle leaned harder into funk and soul here than on his earlier bossa nova work, and the result is one of the more interesting Brazilian records of the decade. The rhythm programming and keyboard textures give it a slightly futuristic feel for 1973. His voice is relaxed and the arrangements have breathing room even when the grooves get busy. Crate diggers have been reaching for this one for years.
