Roots ReggaeWalker's voice has this cracked, pleading edge that suits roots reggae better than a lot of smoother singers ever managed. The title track rides a heavy one-drop that never lets up, and the Rasta themes throughout feel lived rather than performed. Small pressing, tiny label, so it barely traveled outside Jamaica at the time. That scarcity is exactly why it's worth tracking down now.
