Neo SoulPhilly neo soul but rougher around the edges than the Jill Scott stuff that was blowing up at the same time — more live band, less polish. Cornelius Harris's vocals sit low in the mix and let the rhythm section do the talking. The title track is the one that earns its length, building slow instead of hitting a hook early. Overlooked because it landed right as the scene got crowded.
