The title tells you everything — this is UK broken beat and nu jazz collapsed into one record, live percussion running against programmed low end. "Retox" is the standout, all clattering congas over a bassline that keeps threatening to turn into house. It's a busy record, sometimes too busy, but the musicianship covers for it. Rewarding if you let the rhythms actually breathe.
