Prince Fatty's whole thing is analog dub built new instead of dug up, and this record proves you don't need a vintage tape machine from Kingston to get the sound right — just ears. Horns, tape delay, and a rhythm section that plays it straight so the mixing desk can do the damage. "Wine and Wine" is the cut where the dub effects really take over, echo swallowing the vocal whole. Modern dub done properly, no irony attached.
