You've heard this riddim before even if you don't know it — The Clash covered the title track and introduced a whole punk audience to it without most of them ever hearing Williams' original. His version is looser, more spiritual, less urgent than the cover, and honestly better for it. The bassline just walks the whole way through. One of those reggae records where the song is bigger than the artist ever got credit for.
