These are the guys who basically invented ska horn arrangements back in the '60s, and here they're still doing it decades later with guests like Lester Bowie sitting in. The horn section is the whole show — tight, sharp, constantly trading lines back and forth. "Guns of Navarone" swings harder than the original ever did. This is a party record, full stop, made by musicians who could also just flat-out play.
