Psychedelic funk out of Belo Horizonte, cut on a shoestring budget that somehow makes the fuzz guitar and strings hit harder. Di Melo's voice floats over grooves that owe as much to Sly Stone as to Tim Maia, and the arrangements twist in directions you don't see coming. It barely circulated outside Brazil when it dropped — no push, no distribution, just a great record nobody heard. Put on the second side and let it run.
