Cedar Walton on electric piano over a rhythm section that grooves harder than most straight-ahead jazz records from this year. The title track is the one to start with — it locks into a vamp and just rides it, Walton comping like he's got nowhere else to be. RCA didn't market this as fusion or as bop, so it slipped between audiences. That's a shame, because the drumming alone is worth it.
