Apathy raps like he's got something to prove against the whole industry, and on this one he mostly does. The beats lean hard on soul chops and boom-bap drums, no trend-chasing anywhere on it. "Vulgar Display of Word Power" is the flex track, dense and mean, but the deeper cuts show he can slow down too. It got buried under bigger 2006 releases, which is a shame — the bars alone hold up.
