This is bossa nova run through a laptop, and in 2000 that combination sounded like nothing else out there. Suba's production is the real star — those hushed drum programming touches under Gilberto's breathy vocal give it a completely different texture than her father's generation. The title track is the one that got this record everywhere, but "Samba e Amor" is the sleeper worth chasing down.
